Getting Started

How to access your BlueRockTEL instance, find your way around, and adopt the right learning approach for your daily workflow.

Accessing Your Instance

BlueRockTEL is a web application. Your instance is accessible at a URL specific to your company, typically in the format:

https://yourcompany-admin.bluerocktel.net

You can use any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). No software installation is required.

First Login and Password Setup

When your account is first created, use the "Forgot password" link on the login page to set your password. Enter the email address associated with your account, and you will receive a link to create your password.

Once your password is set, log in with your email and password as usual.

The Right Learning Approach

BlueRockTEL covers a wide range of business processes, and it can feel overwhelming at first. The best strategy is simple: focus on what you need daily.

Tip: You don't need to understand every field or every menu item before you start working. Master the tasks you perform every day first, then gradually explore the rest. This manual is structured so you can read only the sections relevant to your role.

Here are a few practical habits that will help from day one:

  • Use CTRL+F (or Cmd+F on Mac) to search for keywords within any BlueRockTEL page. This is especially useful on long forms or configuration screens.
  • Open multiple browser tabs. You can have several BlueRockTEL pages open at once — for example, a client record in one tab and their folder in another. This makes cross-referencing much faster than navigating back and forth.
  • Don't worry about blank fields. Many fields are optional. Fill in what you know now and come back later as needed.

Configuring Your Organisation

Before you start working with clients and billing, make sure your company information is correctly set up. This information appears on invoices, quotes, and official documents.

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner of the screen
  2. Select Organisation
  3. Fill in or verify:
    • Company name and legal form
    • Address (street, city, postal code, country)
    • VAT number
    • Company logo (appears on invoices and quotes)
    • Bank details — IBAN and BIC (required for SEPA direct debit)
    • SEPA Creditor ID (required if you collect payments via SEPA mandate)

Important: Your bank details and SEPA Creditor ID must be configured here before you can set up client payment methods or generate SEPA collection files. If you skip this step, you will need to come back to it before your first billing run.

Where to Go Next

Once your organisation is configured, proceed to:
