What is an Installation Template?
An installation template is an operational blueprint containing all the steps that must be completed before a customer can be moved to billing. It is a reusable model of your deployment process, adaptable to each type of service.
How It Works
When a prospect moves to customer status (production), the sales representative selects the appropriate installation template. This triggers the automatic creation of actions assigned to each team member according to their role — sales, technical, administrative.
Actions are sequenced chronologically. A conditional triggering mechanism makes tasks appear only when their moment has come, preventing team members from facing overwhelming action lists.
Access and Tracking
Installation templates provide multiple levels of visibility:
- Each team member accesses their assigned tasks through their daily action list
- Managers have a comprehensive overview: progress, upcoming actions, responsible parties
- The record view shows the installation status and phase-by-phase tracking
Customisation
BlueRockTEL provides default templates, but you can create your own installation types. Duplicating an existing template is straightforward, making it easy to create variants for different configurations — for example, a 3CX installation with or without number portability.
Communication Automation
Personalised email templates can trigger automatically when certain actions are validated. This allows key team members and customer contacts to be notified at the critical stages of a deployment, without any additional manual action.
